Villa Poggio a Varna Rosè IGT
Made from Sangiovese grapes, this wine has a brilliant, intense pink colour with violet highlights and a fresh, floral and fruity bouquet. Well-structured, very fresh and lively, as well as harmonious and balanced. Excellent as an aperitif wine and when paired with fish, vegetables, white meats and fresh cheeses.

Vinification |
After destemming, the grapes are transferred to steel tanks. After about 12 hours, and before fermentation starts, the cap of skins rises to the top and the underlying must is separated and pumped into another steel tank where it will ferment at a temperature of approximately 18-20°C. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, sulphites are added to the wine to prevent malolactic fermentation. It remains in contact with its lees for about a month. Finally, the wine is decanted and prepared for bottling which generally takes place between March and April of the year following the harvest. |
