he Riding School “La Canonica” boasts a high quality and prestigious horse breeding. In fact, Red Chic Peppy, the stallion that holds the highest number of winnings among horses born and bred in Europe, was born here; in 2016 he won the title of reining world champion and was chosen, among very rare champions, to be part of the book “Reining Dreams”.
Many of our horses have achieved important goals. At “La Canonica” you can have the honor and the pleasure of knowing undisputed champions and you will have the chance to ride horses belonging to this great bloodline.
Free horses in a beautiful landscape
The peculiarity of our horse breeding is that we deal with unfortunate horses with physical problems; in fact, the horses are left free as much as possible in the pastures. This is our philosophy: horses need to live and run free and a horse that runs free is one of the most beautiful shows we can watch!
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature with horse riding
In addition to riding lessons, we give our guests also the opportunity to explore the surroundings riding a horse. An exciting way to combine the holiday with the pleasure of riding these extraordinary animals, coming into contact with nature.

Riding lessons
Our western riding school with qualified third-degree instructors, trained to issue equestrian licenses and patents for anyone who wants to achieve them, offers:
- Riding lesson for adults (1h) € 30.00
- Riding lesson for children (30 min.) € 18.00
- Rides out starting from € 45.00
- Subscription for 6 lessons € 145.00
- Subscription for 10 lessons € 220.00
The lessons for beginners provide an approach and an initial knowledge of the horse, and the possibility to ride it.
It is also possible to give vouchers for riding lessons or subscriptions as a gift.
